News Kath Mortimore Kath Mortimore, accordion player with the Dartmoor Pixie Band sadly passed away on 31st January 2006 following her battle with cancer. Kath had been a loyal member of the band for almost 30 years and will be sorely missed by us all. A memorial dance was held at South Zeal Victory Hall on Saturday 31st March 2007. £500 was raised for Rowcroft Hospice in Torquay. Many thanks to all those who attended and thanks for your generosity. London to Brighton Bike Ride Having completed the ride in 2006 and raising almost £200 in sponsorship, Mark then convinced three others to enter in 2007. Mike Jecks from South Zeal, Chris Aylen from Okehampton and Aidan Hansell from Wallingford joined forces with Mark in a team entitled 'The Dart-i-moor Pisskies' and completed the ride on Sunday 17th June 2007. Many thanks to all who sponsored us, as a team we hope to have raised in the region of £1500 for the British Heart Foundation.
